What happens if I do not pick up the ticket booked on the JR WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION website?
On the JR WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION website, if you choose to pay by credit card, the payment will be executed as soon as the ticket reservation is completed.
If the ticket expiration date has past without being changed nor canceled, the payment charged to the credit card will be final even if the ticket has not been picked up.
Please be advised that if you do not pick up the ticket by the departure date and time, you are not entitled to a refund.
If you purchased a regular ticket that is not reserved seating, you can still ride later trains as long as it departs on the same day.
In addition, with tickets that are valid even after the train departed, such as express tickets and tickets that are non-reserved seats, you are entitled a refund as long as the ticket is within the valid period.
Please go to the station counter or fill in the inquiry form.
(If you reserved a ticket that has not been picked up from the day after the effective start date, you are entitled to a refund if the ticket is still valid, less refund charges that will be deducted)
In addition, if the reserved train itself is canceled, and if the ticket was not picked up, the ticket will be automatically refunded at no charge from the next day of the effective start date.
