How can I tell whether a train is a limited/regular express or a special rapid/rapid/local service? Where do I look to see where a train is going?
Please see the destination scroll on the outside side of the vehicle. However, some will be in Japanese only.
Also, in some areas (Kinki, Hiroshima, Okayama, Fukuyama, Yonago area), "line color" and "route symbol" are introduced. The color and the symbol on the route map is also displayed on the side of the vehicle, so please see it when getting on and changing a train.
